Hi Everyone,
Here is my latest album. ‘Jukebox Favourites Vol 4 - Invisible Tears’. Another mix of favourite songs suggested by my amazing customers. Bringing back to life the music we have enjoyed through the years, as far back as the 1950’s. I do have my personal favourites especially the two ‘Creedence Clearwater Revival’ tracks which both book-end this CD. I have always been fascinated by John Forgerty’s voice and his excellent song writing skills. I will be recording more of his material. You may notice that I have recorded ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’ for a second time. The reason is I wanted to do Rod Stewart’s version as I think he did a great job on it. One of my favourite artistes has always been Johnny Tillotson. His version of ‘Dreamy Eyes’ is so special which is on a previous album of mine. My tribute here is for his outing of ‘Roses Are Red’. Then there are two excellent tracks from The Stylistics. I have always loved their music and harmonies. From the Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical ‘Whistle Down The Wind’ comes ‘The Boyzone’ single ‘No Matter What’. I have always liked the melody. Also linked to Boyzone is ‘Baby Can I Hold You’ the wonderful Tracy Chapman song. Two great 60s songs, ‘Chapel Of Love’ and ‘Soldier Boy’ are essentials on this album. They make great Jukebox records. Going back in time to 1951 we have ‘Too Young’ from Jimmy Young and Nat King Cole. Finally, that annoying Nimble bread advert in the 1960s gave us ‘I Can’t Let Maggie Go’ from a hot-air balloon (I wish they had) by The Honeybus. I love the song and once you have played it I am sure it is likely to stay in your heads for days, as the song goes - ‘She flies like a bird and I wish that she was mine, she flies like a bird, oh me oh my, I see her fly, Now I know, I can’t Let Maggie Go’. Here’s to the next time. It is always exciting to find out what you guys want me to record. Thank you for enjoying my music, and my best wishes to you all.
